Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is keen to sign Arsenal’s Joel Campbell on loan for his goal-shy Real Sociedad side, according to the Daily Mirror.
The La Liga side have only managed 11 goals in 11 games under their new boss, whilst Moyes is also interested in Burnley’s Danny Ings and Tottenham forward Roberto Soldado.
But the prospect of taking Campbell on loan from Arsenal is perhaps the most likely, and the Scot is waiting for an answer from Arsene Wenger in the coming days.
22-year-old Campbell has struggled for first team football at the Emirates this season, having spent last season impressing on loan at Olympiakos.
Campbell also enhanced his reputation at the summer’s World Cup, where he helped Costa Rica to a shock quarter final appearance.
Moyes is desperate to add more firepower to his side, with Sociedad currently occupying 12th spot in La Liga, just four points clear of the relegation zone.
Moyes has also been sentenced to a two-game touchline ban in La Liga, having been sent to the stands during his sides recent cup defeat to Villarreal.
