Neville: No need for recruits

Everton captain Phil Neville has played down the need for summer signings to bolster David Moyes' Goodison Park squad.

Neville is confident that the current roster has more than enough ability to challenge near the top of the Premier League, with the former England international feeling that the Toffees just need better luck with injuries.

He commented:"The reality is that we can beat any team in this league with this set of players.

"Somebody asked me the other day 'who would you like to sign in the summer?'.

"I told them that I'm not bothered bringing people in – I don't think we need to sign anyone.

"Having everybody fit going into the start of next season would be better.

"If that's the case, then we can beat anyone on our day, we've proven that from Christmas onwards – that's what gives you hope and confidence, that's what will keep our supporters happy."
