Everton are set to be given huge financial backing following revelations made by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, Talksport reports.
The Iranian billionaire recently acquired 49.9% of the available shares and was even present to watch his new club knock Chelsea out of the FA Cup quarter-finals following their 2-0 victory.
He was full of praise for the squad before admitting that he sees the team as a huge family and is completely ready to back all aspects of the club.
“I felt it today. It is a great club,” he told EvertonTV.
“We just enjoy the day [Wembley] and let’s hope we can energise the club.
“You can never take over a club, you become part of a club and that’s what I’m hoping – to become part of a club.
“For me I bought into a new family and that’s what is special for me.
“I give them whatever I have.”
Toffees owner Bill Kenwright also revealed that he selected the best candidate to take Everton into the future as they look to build on their recent victory.
They have not won a trophy since their previous FA Cup win back in 1995, a factor that could now change given their progression in the competition this season.
The club have underperformed in recent months as they now find themselves sitting 12th on the Premier League table with 10 games left to be played.
