New Monchengladbach star reveals Chelsea buy-back option

Former Chelsea ace Thorgan Hazard, brother of Eden Hazard, has revealed that the club added a buy-back clause into his deal at Borussia Monchengladbach, according to reports from the Metro.

The 21-year-old will complete a £5million move away from Stamford Bridge once his season-long deal comes to end, but is still hopeful that he can make a return to the club.

Hazard admitted that the inclusion of the buy-back option will serve as a motivational factor that could gift him with a return to the Premier League.

“It is true that Chelsea has a buy-back option. I’m glad, because I hope to still play for Chelsea,” he said.

“That remains a goal.

“I am focusing on excelling at Borussia Monchengladbach, but I still hope to play for Chelsea one day.”

Blues manager Jose Mourinho insisted that it would be hard for him to break into the first team, as he shares the same position as his brother on the left flank, along with a number of other capable stars.

Although he is also able to play on the right, it is unlikely that he will be selected ahead of Willian as well as new signing Juan Cuadrado in the pecking order.

The Belgium attacker has so far made 26 appearances this season, scoring three goals and providing seven assists for the Bundesliga outfits.
