Newcastle forward Ayoze Perez has penned a long term deal on Tyneside, report the Daily Mail.
The 22-year old Spaniard has proved to be an excellent signing since making a £1.6m move from Tenerife in the summer of 2014.
Scoring 12 goals for the club, he was voted the North East Player of the Year back in December.
Both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been linked with moves, though the Spanish under-21 international striker has now committed his future to the club.
Putting pen to paper on a new five-and-a-half-year deal, he will now remain under contract until the summer of 2021.
Speaking of his delight, Perez revealed, ‘It’s a special day for me, a big day for me.’
‘The truth is I’m really happy here, so it’s a good thing for me – and I hope it’s the same for the Geordie faithful.’
It has been a busy day at St. James’ Park, with Roma forward Seydou Doumbia completing a loan switch to the Magpies.
