Newcastle United star Ayoze Perez has come out to reveal that he will not leave his club despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Daily Mail reports.
The 22-year-old has been one of the standout performers for his side this season, with the Spain international attracting heavy interest from a number of sides.
Tottenham have been linked with a host of strikers during the January window as manager Mauricio Pochettino looks to find star man Harry Kane a partner up top.
He is now being linked with a possible £15million exit from St James’ Park and was also an earlier attacking target for Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal.
However, Perez has come out to reveal that he is not looking for an exit from the club ahead of the January window as he targets a spot in the Spain national team.
“I am playing and I am getting better. I cannot ask for anything else because I am happy here,” he said.
“I hope one day I can play for Spain, it will be a dream for me.”
The forward has now featured in 12 out of a possible 14 Premier League matches this term, scoring three goals while being able to provide another two assists.
