Newcastle striker remains content at St James’ Park

Demand the ball to his feet

Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse is happy to stay with the North East club despite going through a rough time this season, as reported by Sky Sports.

Cisse has struggled to find his form from last season at St James’ Park, failing to find the net in the Premier League in 11 appearances.

Loan signing Loic Remy has stolen the headlines from Cisse and boss Alan Pardew has confirmed that he would like to sign Remy on a permanent deal, putting Cisse’s future in doubt.

The Senegal international is desperate to work hard in order to get back into the side and start to score goals, although if the team is winning Cisse is happy.

“I always just keep working hard for the club,” Cisse told The Chronicle.

“We have a lot of good strikers here – myself, Loic Remy, Yoan Gouffran, Shola Ameobi and Hatem Ben Arfa.

“But it isn’t about who plays with each other – it is about how well we do as a team.”
