Newcastle United youngster set for new deal

Newcastle United winger Rolando Aarons looks set to stay at the club, according to the Chronicle.

There was concern amongst chiefs at St James’ Park, with the youngster entering his final year of his current deal. However, it is believed that the 20-year-old is set to sign a new long term deal.

Aarons made his most significant action for the first team last season, making 10 Premier League appearances as the club were relegated from the top flight. He scored in the 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the season, his 2nd league goal for the club.

And the speedy youngster came off the bench for Newcastle’s opener in the Championship last friday, as the club lost 1-0 away at Fulham.

The news will please boss Rafa Benitez, who himself signed a deal to stay on as the Magpies boss this summer, and is looking to instantly bring the club back into the Premier League.
