Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner has described stories suggesting he might be forced to retire because of injury as crazy.
The Denmark international is struggling to recover from a groin problem and has yet to feature for the Gunners first team this season.
There has been speculation that the problem is so bad that Bendtner may be forced to quit the game, but he has refuted such suggestions, telling Sporten.dk:"It's crazy to hear such stories, I can completely dismiss it.
"I have been worried during the injury spell, but it has never been mentioned that it could stop my career.
"I can't understand where this rumour comes from. It's nasty and quite shocking.
"I am looking forward now and there is a lot to look forward to.
"I am expecting to be fit for a comeback in the not too distant future, but I have not set a date.
"Arsenal and I have worked out a timetable which I am following, but we are keeping the details to ourselves."
