Catania's Uruguay international Jorge Martinez has not been approached by Manchester City, according to the player's agent Daniel Delgado.
Lazio are also known to be interested in the 25-year-old striker but the club's sporting director, Pietro Lo Monaco, also suggested that City, Juventus, Fiorentina and Roma made enquires.
However, these claims have been denied by Delgado.
"I don't know anything about Manchester City. We have received many proposals but right now we are not talking about anything because Martinez is playing for survival with Catania and it is not right to talk about the transfer market," he revealed.
"The survival of the club depends on Jorge – if he is fit then Catania could be saved with games to spare.
"Then, if there will be serious proposals in the summer, we'll evaluate the most advantageous one for the boy and for Catania."
