No Inter return for Mancini

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is not wanted back at Internazionale as a replacement for Real Madrid-bound Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho is expected to swap Italy for Spain this summer after guiding Inter to a 2-0 Champions League final victory over Bayern Munich on Saturday evening.

Inter will then be left searching for a successor to the Portuguese coach, but president Massimo Moratti insists has no interest in re-hiring a coach he sacked two years ago.

Mancini was named City boss in December and guided the Eastlands club to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League this season.

He previously helped Inter win three successive Italian titles before being axed in favour of Mourinho.

"He (Mancini) is the only one I didn't think of due to the fact that we have already had him and he is part of our history," explained Moratti.

"No, I don't think that for him this is the path to follow.

"I believe he is happy in England, that he likes living in England and hence, to bring him back in this difficult situation would be offensive."
