Norwich City have rejected a bid from Australian outfit Melbourne Heart for striker Grant Holt.
The Canaries have knocked back the offer from Heart as, according to the Guardian, the A-League side’s bid did not match their reported £2million valuation of the striker.
Holt, 32, still has two years left on his current deal at Carrow Road and it is understood that the club are not actively seeking to sell the forward but will listen to serious offers.
It remains to be seen as to whether Holt would consider a switch to Australia or if Heart will up their initial offer.
Holt’s future remains unclear at Norwich following the marquee capture of Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Sporting Lisbon for £8.5million, which has increased speculation he could be on the move this summer.
Premier League rivals Sunderland, Aston Villa and newly-promoted Hull City have also been linked with Holt in recent weeks.
