Chelsea ace Patrick Bamford has joined Norwich City on loan until the end of the current campaign as they look to see him develop with more regular playing time, BBC reports.
The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season with Crystal Palace, but struggled for game time and was eventually sent back to Stamford Bridge earlier this month.
He only managed to register nine appearances for the Eagles, but failed to make any sort of impact and is now set to attempt to prove his worth with the Canaries.
Norwich are sitting 17th on the Premier League table and Bamford will be hoping he is given more regular playing time in order to help his new side avoid the drop.
The forward revealed his delight over his loan transfer to Carrow Road as he looks to continue his development with hopes of earning a first team spot at Stamford Bridge.
“I’m really happy to be here, and the sooner I’m able to get involved the better,” he told Norwich’s official website.
Manager Alex Neil also came out to back the attacker as a great addition to his front line as he aims to net his first league goal of his career.
“He’s a young forward determined to make his way in the game, and adds competition for us at the top end of the pitch,” he said.
