Wigan Athletic winger Charles N'Zogbia has not ruled out the possibility of a transfer to Birmingham City in January.
The 23-year-old Frenchman only moved to the DW Stadium less than 12 months ago but is reportedly ready for a new challenge.
He said:"If a chance comes up for me to join Birmingham, and the deal is to Wigan's advantage, then why not?
"Birmingham have made a very interesting start to the season, and now everything will depend on how ambitious they are.
"Wigan's season has been very disappointing. We give our all in matches, then end up with just one point or none at all. I feel frustrated. We lack consistency."
Earlier in the week, the player's agent, Franck Peslerbe, was quoted as saying that he thought a transfer was unlikely.
He said at the time:"I am not surprised if other clubs are interested in Charles as he enjoyed many good performances for Wigan. However, Charles is 100 per cent focused on Wigan and the important games they have coming up.
"He is happy there after an unhappy time at Newcastle and he is enjoying playing under Roberto Martinez.
"If Charles was to leave it would be with Wigan's agreement, because he has a contract there. If a club comes in it will be Wigan's decision and Charles wants to respect Wigan."
