N’Zogbia impresses Martinez

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has hailed the impact of half-time substitute Charles N'Zogbia in the 4-1 FA Cup third round win over Hull City.

N'Zogbia scored twice and set up another as the home side turned around a one-goal deficit to secure a comfortable victory.

Martinez said afterwards:"Charles is a world-class player. I think this season we have seen consistency in his play and that is very pleasing.

"Three games in a week is hugely demanding and today the role he had to play was fantastic.

"He played fantastically well and made a huge difference. His attitude was very good and his football is something the fans would pay money to watch."

Meanwhile, the Latics have been linked with a move to sign Leicester city striker Matty Fryatt for a fee in excess of £3million.

The 23-year-old has scored 57 goals in 165 appearances for the Foxes and has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs in recent weeks.
