Liverpool could be without the services of Jordon Ibe for the rest of March, after the on-form winger suffered an injury against Besiktas last week, according to reports from the Express.
The 19-year-old was forced off with ankle ligament damage, an outcome that could see him miss matches against Burnley, Blackburn Rovers, Swansea, as well as an all-important clash with Manchester United.
Ibe has been impressive for manager Brendan Rodgers ever since he was given a chance to play for the senior team, with the club said to be ready to offer him a new contract to ensure his stay.
The England Under-20 winger was tipped to be called up to the Three Lions senior squad, but his latest injury setback could see him miss out on a place at the moment.
However, Rodgers will be boosted by news that club captain Steven Gerrard is set to make his return from a hamstring injury which saw him miss his side’s last five matches.
The Anfield legend is not likely to be risked against the Clarets in midweek, but could very well feature against Blackburn in the FA Cup quarter finals.
