Manchester United midfielder Angel Di Maria did not board a plane that he was scheduled to travel on to join his club team-mates in America, sparking rumours that he is set to join Paris Saint-Germain, as per The Guardian.
The Argentina international had been given an extended break following his participation in the Copa America but was expected to meet up with the rest of the Old Trafford squad in North America.
However, with the former Real Madrid star apparently going AWOL and Louis van Gaal admitting he did not know where the winger was, Di Maria looks destined to leave the club and sign for PSG.
Meanwhile, Metro report that Sergio Romero has agreed to join the Premier League side and will fly out to America to join up with his new team-mates.
The custodian is a free agent after leaving Sampdoria earlier this summer and is widely expected to join to offer competition for places with David De Gea.
