Ousted Newcastle United star targeted by AC Milan

New AC Milan manager Filippo Inzaghi could rescue Hatem Ben Arfa from his Newcastle United nightmare by attempting to lure him to the Serie A, Daily Star reports.

The Italian boss is in search of a winger who he could deploy into his formation as he tries to bounce the club back from their previous season woes after finishing eight in the league.

Ben Arfa is currently banned from the first team after a series of conflicts with Alan Pardew towards the end of last season as Milan plan a bid of around £12million.

He was also told by his manager that he will no long feature in his team ahead of the upcoming season despite still having a full year left on his current deal with the Magpies.

The Serie A side also face competition from his former club in Olympique Marseille, who are also looking to take back the player they sold to Newcastle back in 2010.
