Arsenal are planning to extend the contract of Joel Campbell before agreeing to let him leave on loan in response to his plea for first team football, Daily Star reports.
The 22-year-old is yet to establish a place in Arsene Wenger’s plan as he is once again being lined up for an exit, having already served his previous three years away at other clubs.
He joined the Gunners back in 2011 and was immediately sent out to Lorient, Real Betis, and most recently Olympiakos as he was hoping his World Cup form could put him in contention for a role at the Emirates.
Campbell is yet to start a Premier League game this season and is now being tipped to join former Manchester United manager David Moyes at Real Sociedad.
Moyes said: “I’d like to add one or two to the squad, but on loan if it can be done.
“I’ve got one or two in mind and maybe some from back home who would like the opportunity to come and play in Spain.
“If there’s one market I know best at the moment then it’s the British market.”
