West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker has urged his side to ensure their Premier League survival and put an end to a torrid 12 months at Upton Park.

The 29-year-old England international was talking ahead of a potentially crucial clash with fellow strugglers Wolves, with Parker looking to better times under new owners David Gold and David Sullivan.

He told the Daily Mail:"There have obviously been problems here. It's been a tough time for the club on and off the field, a lot of uncertainty.

"But I've read what the new owners have been saying and they are massive West Ham fans who want the club to go forward.

"Right now we all need to pull together and make sure we're still in the Premier League next season. We have to fight on.

"It hasn't been easy. We've had to sell players and when you look at the squad compared to a year ago, we've lost some key individuals."
