Parker talks up Tottenham’s chances

Scott Parker has stated that Tottenham are firmly in the title race, despite dropping two points against Wolves on Saturday.

Luka Modric equalised for the North London side after Steven Fletcher had put the visitors in front, but as the game finished 1-1 Harry Redknapp’s men spurned the opportunity to go level on points with leaders Manchester City.

Despite this, the England international feels that the White Hart Lane side still have a shot at glory, and is ready to take on Roberto Mancini’s men at the Etihad Stadium next Sunday.

“I think we can still win the title, definitely,” Parker told Mirror Football.

“We need to believe that we can win every game and then see where that puts us.

“We have to enjoy this moment and obviously be happy where we are, keep enjoying it and get the best results.

“We will quickly dust ourselves down from this game and we will go to Man City looking forward to it and hopefully get the three points.

“It’s a big game and I am sure we will come out on the front foot looking to win,” he concluded.

Parker did not play in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, when City triumphed 5-1 in London.
