Parnaby pens new City deal

Birmingham City defender Stuart Parnaby is the latest player to extend his stay at the St Andrew's-based outfit.

Despite a frustrating campaign, the 27-year-old full-back has penned a 12-month contract that will keep him in the Midlands until June 2011.

He made the move to Birmingham from Middlesbrough in 2007 and has made 50 appearances for the side, but just 11 came during the 2009-10 season as he struggled with injury.

However, manager Alex McLeish has made the decision to keep him at the club after Liam Ridgewell and Maik Taylor recently inked new deals.
