Newcastle United forward Peter Lovenkrands has spoken of his frustration at finding himself out of the starting line-up this season.
Lovenkrands, 30 has started just one Premier League game for the Magpies this season, with manager Chris Hughton preferring to play Andy Carroll as a lone frontman.
The Denmark international scored 13 goals in 19 league starts last season and is determined to take his chance should he start Wednesday's Carling Cup encounter with Arsenal.
"It's been very frustrating, but with the system the manager's opted for I haven't had much of a chance," said Lovenkrands.
"It's just a case of getting your head down and keep working away.
"Hopefully I'll take my chance when it comes, like I did last season."
