Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has stated that Oscar can prove to be a pivotal player for the Blues this season.

The Brazilian playmaker made his European debut for the club against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday and thoroughly impressed, scoring both of the hosts' goals in a 2-2 draw.

The Czech Republic international is confident that the South American will be worth the £25 million price tag that the Blues paid Internacional this summer.

"He plays great football, a simple one or two touches, and he's always available," The Guardian quote Cech as saying.

"He has a pretty big price tag on him for a young guy and that's an extra pressure. So it's been great for him that we see this performance, and two goals will give him a lot of confidence. People will realise he is good value.

"Only time will tell but he's on a very good way. He's settled in quickly and you can see he's worth the money the club spent. He's only 20 so let's see how he's going to develop," the stopper concluded.
