After scoring Tottenham Hotspurs winning goal, Harry Kane could start Spurs’ next Premier League clash against Stoke next weekend, Express reports.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino has hinted the young forward will be playing a more important role after his match-winning free kick against Aston Villa on Sunday night.
“He is an important player. We have a lot of very good players. It is true the performance like in the last game and today, he maybe deserves to play in the Premier League more.
“It was a great goal, and a happy goal for him and the team.”
“You always need all the players. When you play a game you analyse the possibility of putting players on the pitch to make an impact.
“Today Andros (Townsend), Erik (Lamela) and Harry (Kane) made a big impact.”
Although playing against 10-men after Christian Benteke got sent off when Villa was 1-0 up, Pochettino claims Spurs deserved the victory coming from a goal down.
“We deserved the victory. The team worked hard and showed their character. In the end, the points are the most important thing.
“No [it is not a relief]. If you have a good result, you are a great manager if you lose you are a bad manager.
“We have our idea, our philosophy and we need time but it was important to get this result today.”
