Portsmouth have rejected a second bid from West Bromwich Albion for midfielder Marc Wilson.
The Baggies have upped their offer to a package worth in excess of £3million for the 23-year-old, but Pompey are still adamant that they do not want to sell one of their rising stars.
Pompey administrator Andrew Andronikou told The News:"West Brom offered us £3million plus add-ons but that has been turned down.
"Steve Cotterill does not want to sell such an important player.
"At the moment, as a club he is not a player we have identified to sell. We will have to wait and see what happens."
Wilson has made nearly 50 appearances for Pompey, having also enjoyed loan spells with Yeovil Town, Bournemouth and Luton Town.
