Premier League winning manager Claudio Ranieri is keen to sign a new deal at Leicester City.
That’s according to the Leicester Mercury, who say the manager is eager to extend his stay at the Foxes:
“I don’t have a problem. I am happy to stay here and the chairman told me he is happy for me to stay” Said Ranieri.
“If he gives me another two years, I want to stay here a long time. My agent is speaking with Jon (Rudkin, director of football). It’s no problem. I think before we start the season I will sign, but I signed one year ago.”
Leicester City had an incredible campaign last season, defying all odds and winning the Premier League title for the first time in their history. And now the Foxes are ready to reward their manager with a bumper deal.
Ranieri is currently working with the squad on their pre-season tour of Austria, with questions still being asked on the future of N’Golo Kante. The 64-year-old became only the second non-British manager to win the LMA Manager of the Year award.
