The Blues stopper has been on loan at Atletico Madrid for the past two seasons and has impressed many in Spain with Atletico keen to take him on a permanent deal.
However Chelsea have planned on Courtois becoming the long term successor of Petr Cech and they are desperate for the Belgian to gain a year’s experience in the Premier League before throwing him into their first team.
Southampton and Wigan are both circling West London in an attempt to snap up the 20-year-old for next season but Fulham are also reportedly keen and may be favoured by Chelsea due to geographical ease.
Courtois has claimed that playing every week is his only ambition right now and so is set for the third season out on loan, but this time in England.
“I want to play in a team where I’m on the pitch.” Courtois told The Sun.
