Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of France international Kevin Gameiro from Lorient for a reported fee of 11 million euros.Gameiro, 24, has signed a four-year contract with PSG, who could end up paying Ligue 1 rivals Lorient an additional four million euros based on clauses in the transfer.

Striker Gameiro made his France debut against Belarus in September 2010 and netted his first international goal in a 4-1 friendly victory over the Ukraine earlier this month.

"After undergoing the usual medical checks, Kevin Gameiro signed a four-deal deal with Paris St Germain," the club said in a statement.

Gameiro began his professional career with Strasbourg in 2005, where he netted 10 goals in 58 appearances.

He joined Lorient for three million euros in 2008, scoring 50 goals in 108 matches at the Stade du Moustoir.

Of those strikes, 22 came in Ligue 1 this season, when he finished three goals behind the division's top scorer Moussa Sow.

Gameiro had been linked with a transfer to English Premier League club Newcastle United and La Liga outfit Valencia.

He was reportedly advised against moving abroad by France coach Laurent Blanc, while the takeover of PSG by a Qatari investment company in May meant the club had sufficient resources to secure the player's services.
