Lucas Moura, Sao Paulo forward

Paris Saint-Germain are set to scupper Manchester United's efforts to sign Brazilian wonderkid Lucas Moura, and have outbid the English side according to The Daily Mail.

The Old Trafford outfit have been in negotiations with Sao Paulo over a move for the Brazil international, and it is believed that Sir Alex Ferguson's men were close to agreeing a fee of around £30 million.

However, PSG have entered the race for the attacking midfielder's signature, and have offered £35 million for the South American protege.

The big-spending French side have already signed the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer and are backed by the Qatari Investment authority.

Meanwhile, Inter have withdrawn their interest in Moura after being priced out of a move by their rivals.

"We would never have gone up to that sum. In any case, there are no regrets that we didn’t finish off the move, as the cost was already pretty high a few days ago," Massimo Moratti confirmed.
