UEFA have lifted their Financial Fair Play ban over Paris Saint-German, boosting the Ligue-1 club’s chances of signing Angel di Maria this summer, according to the Express.
Di Maria was previously linked with a move to PSG while he was still with Real Madrid last summer, but the winger decided to join Manchester United in a British record-breaking £59.7million switch.
However, the Argentina international is once again being tracked by the Ligue-1 champions after a horrid season with the Red Devils, which saw him struggle for form and fitness.
PSG were unable to make a move due to a £42.5million transfer budget set by UEFA, but with it being lifted the French club have the green light to go after the 27-year-old.
Real’s Cristiano Ronaldo has also been linked with a move to the Parc des Princes, but the PSG hierarchy are trying to offload AC Milan-linked Zlatan Ibrahimovic to significantly reduce the wage bill and make room for incoming signings.
Di Maria played 33 games in all competitions last season, scoring four goals.
