PSG rubbish transfer link for Chelsea ace

Rumours of Paris Saint-Germain making a move for Chelsea skipper John Terry have been rubbished by the French club.

The big-spending Ligue 1 side are backed by the wealthy Qatari Investment Authority, and as such are on the offensive this summer to add world-class quality to their squad.

After recently wrapping up a deal to bring Napoli forward Ezequiel Lavezzi to the Parc des Princes, a new centre-half is thought to be next on the capital-city side’s wishlist.

After seeing a move for AC Milan superstar Thiago Silva rejected, PSG were thought to be readying a bid for Terry, who Carlo Ancelotti knows well from his time at Stamford Bridge.

However, the Italian trainer has ruled out a move for the England international.

“We are looking for a central defender. The club is in contact with some players, but not John Terry,” Ancelotti is reported as saying by Sky Sports.

“Last year, we ranked second. This year, we clearly want to be champions. There’s also the Champions League, which will be as important as Ligue 1. But I think it will be easier to win the league,” he concluded.
