Paris St Germain are planning to sell both Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi in the hope of funding a move for Manchester United’s record signing Angel Di Maria, according to the Daily Star.
The French champions were heavily linked with a move for Di Maria in the summer, before he completed a £59million switch to Old Trafford.
Reports have continued to link the Argentine with a move to the French capital however, whilst he was unsettled further by a burglary at his home last week.
PSG are hoping to take advantage of the fact he is yet to settle in Manchester, and are willing to sell two south American stars in order to fund a move.
Edinson Cavani has been continually linked with a £50million move to the Premier League, having often been forced to play out wide to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Lavezzi meanwhile has been linked with a £14million move to both Tottenham and Liverpool, having failed to hold down a regular first team place under Laurent Blanc.
Di Maria told Telefoot earlier this season: “It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris.
“I know I’m still young, perhaps I’ll go to PSG one day. I don’t know how it will all end.”
