Former West Ham United defender Tony Gale believes that Leeds United will get the job done and seal a place in the playoffs.

Garry Monk’s men slipped out of the top six for the first time in five months following their Easter Monday result.

A singe goal from Nouha Dicko resulted in a 1-0 defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at Elland Road, which marked their third loss in five games.

If the regular season ended now, the Whites would miss out on a playoff spot to Fulham by goal difference alone, but there are three matches left to play.

Leeds will face Burton Albion, Norwich City and Wigan Athletic in their final fixtures of the campaign, and Gale believes that they will do enough to get back into the top six.

As it stands, Reading, Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Fulham will be fighting for a place in the Premier League.

While speaking on Sky Sports News, Gale gave his thoughts on who would make it into the top six.

“[Fulham will] be in there and I think it’ll be between Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday for the last playoff spot. I know a lot of people will be watching this, but I’ll go with Leeds.”
