Ray Wilkins has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur are the only Premier League team good enough to beat Chelsea, which is good news for Blues fans as they have already played them twice.

The West London outfit seem to be running away with the English crown at the moment, as they currently hold a nine-point lead over the chasing pack.

Since Antonio Conte switched to a 3-4-3 formation, Chelsea have been virtually unstoppable, with just one blemish on their league run since the start of October, and that was a 2-0 defeat to Spurs.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men are the closest challengers to Chelsea after winning seven of their last nine games, but they have plenty of ground to make up if they want to oust the Blues from the top spot.

Wilkins, who played for Chelsea between 1973 and 1979, has been so impressed with his former club that he thinks only Spurs are good enough to get a result against them.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are all fighting for spots between first and sixth, but Wilkins has pretty much dismissed their ability to stand alongside Chelsea in terms of performances.

While appearing on Sky Sports News, Wilkins said:

“I think the only team in the Premier League, who they don't play again, that can beat Chelsea is Tottenham. They bullied us, they beat us up at White Hart Lane and deservedly smashed us, I've got to say, and I think they are the only team that can beat Chelsea from here on in.”
