Sky Sports pundit David Prutton believes that Leeds United will overcome their blip by beating derby rivals Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.
Thomas Christiansen’s side have shown early signs that they are contenders for Premier League promotion as they currently reside third in the table.
It is very tight at the top, with just five points separating first from sixth after 10 games of the season.
So far, the Whites have won six league matches, but in their last three outings they have lost twice – to Millwall and Cardiff City.
The team’s most recent defeat was in Wales when they were convincingly beaten 3-1 by Neil Warnock’s Cardiff team, who are also vying for promotion.
On Sunday, Leeds are away again, but this time they face Sheffield Wednesday, who are 14th in the standings and winless in their last three games.
Prutton believes that Leeds will edge to a 1-0 victory at Hillsborough, with Pierre-Michel Lasogga to score.
The pundit told Sky Sports:
“Leeds got battered at Cardiff in midweek and, after two away defeats in a row in the Championship, will need to learn to keep things a bit tighter on the road. But Thomas Christiansen has impressed me so far and I think they’ll nick it at Hillsborough.”
