QPR confident of double deal

Rennes midfielder Yann M'VilaQPR manager Harry Redknapp has confirmed that the arrivals of Loic Remy and Yann M’Vila are close to being completed, according to reports from Sky Sports.

The Super Hoops are believed to have beaten Premier League rivals Newcastle to Remy’s signature after making a late bid.

They are also close to drafting in Rennes midfielder M’Vila, with Redknapp having travelled to France to watch him over the weekend.

Speaking after his side’s 1-0 FA Cup third round replay victory over West Brom, ‘Arry revealed that Remy had undergone a medical with the Loftus Road club and said the deal for M’Vila “looks OK.”

The club’s head of media and communications also hinted that Remy’s arrival could be announced soon.

It was thought that the Marseille striker would join Newcastle, with the North East club having agreed a fee with his employers.

However, the Londoners tabled a rival bid and have reportedly offered the 26-year-old a £70,000-per-week contract, a figure the Magpies could not match.

M’Vila has previously been liked with a number of Premier League clubs including Arsenal, but appears to be on the verge of joining QPR.

The 22-year-old French international has enjoyed a successful period in Ligue 1, but his current club are thought to be willing to cash in while his stock is high.
