Premiership new boys Queens Park Rangers are lining up an audacious double deal for Tottenham stalwarts Robbie Keane and Jermaine Jenas, according to the Metro.

QPR are keen to add some Premiership experience to their squad and see the Spurs pair as ideal additions. Both have slipped down the pecking order at White Hart Lane and manager Harry Redknapp is ready to consider cashing in on the pair.

Jenas was first brought to the Premiership as a 19-year old in a £5 million deal by Newcastle before moving to Spurs in the Summer of 2005. He has made over 200 appearances for the club but made just 14 league starts last season and could be deemed surplus to requirements if Redknapp is successful in bringing in FWA Player of the Year Scott Parker. The England international would fetch similar to the £7 million Spurs initially paid for him.

Despite his record-breaking 50th and 51st international goals for Ireland at the weekend, Robbie Keane looks certain to leave Spurs this summer although most likely on loan. The 30-year old spent to second half of this season at West Ham scoring 2 goals but Redknapp is keen to remove the Irishman’s reported £65,000 a week wages from the wage bill in order to fund other transfers.
