QPR have made an audacious £9million bid for Real Madrid’s Esteban Granero, The Daily Mail claim.
The Loftus Road outfit are in the process of revamping their squad this summer, with owner Tony Fernandes splashing the cash in an attempt to avoid another relegation scramble this term.
The home-grown Santiago Bernabeu star is the latest of Mark Hughes’ transfer targets, with the Premier League side testing Jose Mourinho’s resolve with a £9million bid.
Granero is also wanted by Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal, but Hughes hopes to convince the Spaniard that he can be main man for the ambitious Rangers side.
Madrid may well be tempted to sell the midfielder after splurging on Luka Modric, and due to the fact that they have a plethora of talent in the centre of the park.
QPR have already signed the likes of Jose Bosingwa, Ji-Sung Park, Andy Johnson and Robert Green this summer.
