QPR plotting shock £10m Tottenham raid

QPR boss Harry Redknapp is ready to launch a surprise £10m offer for Tottenham’s Andros Townsend, according to reports from Goal.

The Super Hoops are understood to have made enquiries for the England international, however Spurs dismissed their interest.

But that has not deterred ‘Arry, who is now ready to splash £10m to nab the 23-year-old.

Redknapp is known to be a big fan of the speedster after coaching while at White Hart Lane and during the player’s brief loan stint at QPR, and is desperate to lure him back to Loftus Road.

He’s convinced that he can do just that, with the prospect of guaranteed first-team action on the table.

Yet Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is thought to be keen to implement Townsend in his new-look Tottenham set-up, which may be enough to keep him in north London.

The wide-man missed large chunks of last season through injury and is said to be desperate to get back to his best to force his way into England’s set-up once again after impressing during his five outings for the Three Lions.
