QPR boss not willing to axe temperamental star on cheap

Harry Redknapp has told Adel Taarabt that he will be sold in January unless an interested side pays QPR’s asking price.

The enigmatic Moroccan spent the end of last season on loan at AC Milan, but despite impressing in Italy he has returned to London.

An ankle problem has limited the playmaker to just one showing this term, but there has been talk that Redknapp will turn to him should results at Loftus Road not pick up as his bids to keep clear of an immediate return to the Championship.

But Taarabt’s agent, Vincenzo Morabito, claimed earlier this week that his client has been given the green light to leave the club in the New Year.

However, ‘Arry says that the troubled star will only be allowed to head away from QPR if a good offer is received:

“Adel’s always had the green light if somebody wants to pay the money the club wants for him. If they don’t pay the money he stays here.” He is quoted by The Mirror.

“But I need him fit, I want to get him fit, he’s a good player, a real talent, I just want to get him out on the training ground every day, get him fit and playing for QPR, that’s my only interest at the moment.”
