Queens Park Rangers forward Junior Hoilett is eyeing league cup success after a painful exit two years ago with Blackburn Rovers.
The 22 year old was on the wrong side of a memorable 11 goal two legged match-up with Aston Villa while still at Rovers and wants to eradicate devastation with the R’s.
Rangers are up against Reading at home in third round of the competition, Hoilett told the Ealing Gazette: “I reached the semi-finals with Blackburn. It was really hard to take getting so close to Wembley.
“Everyone wants to play there and to not succeed gives me extra motivation to get there this time. As any young player you want to achieve things and I’m no different. Hopefully we can go all the way.”
Hoilett signed a four year deal with QPR in the summer, and showed signs of settling in at the London club on Sunday, as he Alejandro Faurlin and Esteban Granero tormented Tottenham throughout the first half, in an unfortunate 2-1 defeat for the club.
