Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United are set to battle it out for the signature of Luka Modric this summer, according to The Daily Mail.
The Croatia international is one of Tottenham’s best players and was the subject of a transfer saga last summer, as Chelsea tried to bring the playmaker to Stamford Bridge.
However, Spurs stood firm and refused to sell their attacking midfielder, but with the club missing out on Champions League football for next season, the suitors are expected to return for Modric’s signature.
The eastern European has admitted recently that he will evaluate his future after the conclusion of Euro 2012, but it is widely expected that Modric will look to play in the Champions League and ask for a move elsewhere.
However, Tottenham are reportedly ready to slap a £50 million price tag on their diminutive star, after rejecting a £40 million bid for the Blues this time last year.
