Rangers are keen to bring former Arsenal defender Philippe Senderos to the club.
That’s according to The Times, who believe the centre-back, who ha spells at Fulham, Everton and Villa has been contacted by Mark Warburton, who is looking to strengthen his side for their first campaign back in the Scottish top flight.
Senderos, who played once in Switzerland’s qualification campaign for Euro 2016 but didn’t travel to the finals in France, has been offered a 1-year deal by Rangers.
The 31-year-old won the 2005 FA Cup with Arsenal, and was an unused substitute when the Gunners lost the 2006 UEFA Champions League final.
Rangers kick off their new Premiership season on Saturday against Hamilton, but have been strong already in the Scottish League Cup, winning all 4 of their fixtures.
But despite keeping a clean sheet in all 4, Warburton is eager to add to his defensive cover, and is waiting for a response from the Swiss centre-back.
