Rovers boss Steve Kean is desperate to bolster his thin squad and a move for Raul has been touted.
However Rangnick dismissed any interest from the Premier League side despite admitting he wouldn’t stand in the legendary Spain striker’s way if he wanted to leave.
“In Terms of Raul it is the same as it is with all of the players of my squad. If he comes up saying he wants to move on we’ll look into things.” said Rangnick.
“So far he hasn’t said anything to me and we’ve not received any enquiries from any club.
“I have been speaking to Raul over the past months every now and then and he has said everything is fine.
“Raul is definitely an important player for our team, although there are eleven players on the pitch.”
Enquiries from Ewood Park were said to have been made but the German side quickly dismissed those rumours. Kean is desperate to add an experienced goalscorer to his side only managing to sign Dundee United striker David Goodwillie this summer.
Raul bagged 14 goals in 36 Bundesliga games last season and if a move to Rovers did transpire he would link up with former Real Madrid teammate Michel Salgado.
