Real Madrid ace set to leave this January amid Liverpool interest

Liverpool can sign Real Madrid ace Denis Cheryshev this January after the player decided he wants to leave next month, according to reports from the Metro.

Cheryshev has been heavily linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu since the summer, with the Reds and Arsenal keen on the winger.

After spending last season on loan with Villarreal, the Russian decided to take his chances and fight for a first-team place following the arrival of new manager Rafa Benitez.

However, the 24-year-old has struggled to usurp the likes of Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo, and according to Spanish source Fichajes, he is looking to leave this January to increase his chances of being selected by the Russia national squad for Euro 2016.

The news will definitely alert Liverpool, with manager Jurgen Klopp looking to sign a winger in the winter market to add some pace on the flanks.

Cheryshev has only made six appearances in all competitions this season, scoring one goal.
