Real Madrid consider former star as replacement to Man United target

Real Madrid are considering the idea of re-signing Juventus star Alvaro Morata if Manchester United target Cristiano Ronaldo decides to leave, Express reports.

The 23-year-old has a buy-back clause inserted into his contract when he completed the move from Spain to join the Serie A champions back in 2014.

Morata was on sensational form for the Italian giants last season and could once again replicate his previous displays during the current campaign.

He also confirmed the rumours regarding his agreement with the Spanish side by admitting that there is a buy-back clause in his current deal with Juventus.

“What the papers say about there being a buyback clause for me to go back to Real Madrid is true,” he said.

However, he could now be reunited with his former teammates should Real decide to trigger his clause following speculation that Ronaldo was close to a return to Old Trafford.

Apart from the Red Devils, Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be keen on luring the Portugal international to their side should he become available.
