Gareth Bale was once again booed by Real Madrid fans, despite being a part of the side that beat Deportivo 2-0 in La Liga on Saturday, reports the Daily Mirror.
Fans of the Spanish giants are unhappy with the manner in which they were thrashed 4-0 by local rivals Atletico Madrid last week, and let the players know their thoughts prior to kick off.
Former Tottenham star Bale – who remains the most expensive player in world football – had his name jeered by fans as it was read out before the game.
Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas and manager Carlo Ancelotti also felt the wrath of the supporters, despite the fact Madrid’s victory extended their lead at the top of La Liga to four points ahead of Barcelona.
Bale has come under fire from supporters previously this season, and was most heavily booed by fans earlier in the season when he failed to pass the ball to Cristiano Ronaldo and wasted a goal-scoring opportunity.
Ronaldo himself was one player to escape the boos, despite the fact he was criticised last week for holding his 30th birthday party just hours after their humiliating derby defeat.
Goals from Isco and Karim Benzema ensured Los Blancos returned to winning ways.
