Real Madrid interest for long-term Man United target confirmed

Manchester United and Chelsea have been hit with the news that Real Madrid are looking to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, Daily Star reports.

Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to Man United and Chelsea recently, but the Premier League duo are set to face some stiff competition for the highly-coveted French international.

According to Juventus director Giuseppe Morotta, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti’s recent claims that he is not interested in signing Pogba are untrue, stating that the former AC Milan boss was telling a ‘white lie’ to the media.

He said: “Ancelotti asked me some questions about Pogba.

“He says he’s not interested? Well, that’s a white lie.

“I’m sure he has his reasons to say it’s not true.”

If the European Champions do pursue Pogba, then it will hinder the chances for the likes of Man United and Chelsea to lure the Juve star to England.

Pogba has been an integral part of the Juventus midfield, winning the Italian Serie A twice since joining in the summer of 2012.

The 21-year-old was formerly a Man United player, but moved to Juve on a free transfer after deciding not to extend his contract at Old Trafford.
