Real Madrid are ready to make a £60million offer for Liverpool striker Luis Suarez this summer, according to the Metro.
The Uruguayan signed a long term contract at Anfield in December, and has since pledged his future to the club insisting ‘nothing is going to happen’ with regards to a summer move.
However, the Spanish giants remain desperate to bring in a world class centre forward in the summer, and Suarez fits the bill having scored 31 goals for the Reds this season.
Reports in Spain suggest Real president Florentino Perez is preparing to open the bidding at £60million, before the start of the World Cup in five weeks.
Liverpool are adamant they will not be selling their star man, after he came close to leaving the club last summer following interest from both Real Madrid and Arsenal.
Reports also suggest Suarez would be keen on a switch to the Bernabeu, and the chance to become the clubs latest galactico, alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Real Madrid’s current striker Karim Benzema is entering the final year of his contract, and could be used as a possible makeweight if a cash deal cannot be agreed.
